Heyyy everyone
I’m looking for information / help. I’ve over the years had 6 miscarriages, 1 ectopic pregnancy and a live birth to my son who’s nearly 3. I have got in touch with the gp who rang me today and has referred me to a gynaecologist to look further into what’s causing me to struggle staying pregnant.
Has anyone been through this before and if so can you give me a heads up of what to expect?
I’m really excited to find some answers but also really scared🫠.
If anyone has any advice it would be much appreciated xx

I was referred to a fertility clinic (should be called an ivf clinic) and had what seems to be a fairly standard RPL work up
-general bloodwork
-bloodwork to assess blood sugar control
-bloodwork to assess thyroid function
-bloodwork to look for anti phospholipid antibodies and one other type (to check for blood clotting problems)
-bloodwork for a parental karyotype for my husband and I (to see if we are both carriers for some genetic problem that might be a problem for our babies)
-cycle day 3 and mid luteal bloodwork to check sex hormones
-a saline ultrasound to assess my uterus
-a uterine biopsy that as far as I can tell they only used to test for endometritis (not endometriosis)
-a sperm test where they checked for dna fragmentation for my husband
50% of RPL patients who get all this testing done still don’t get any answers at all so brace yourself for that. In my case they won’t do any more testing or any kind of treatment either 😩
