Elective c-section (no medical reasoning)

I had one in april last year and it was the most magical experience ever. I’m a wimp with anything medical but honestly something comes over you and you just get on with it probably bc you know your about to meet your baby🥹The spinal just feels like an insane amount of pressure not painful! Recovery is hard i wont lie but as long as your partner is supportive you’ll be absolutely fine. Good luck and congratulations💘

Honestly a planned c section was the best decision I made. Felt in complete control and so informed throughout. Mine was the same reason as you as I had a very traumatic first birth and I wanted a c section so badly but my midwife said no I should be able to give birth naturally, I knew it was going to be back and it was indeed. I loved my planned c and would do it again if I have more. The recovery was a breeze and I’m 15 weeks postpartum and felt like I’d never had it done by 6-7 weeks. Despite what people say there’s no long term problems with it either and I know it’s major surgery however it’s very safe and planned and completely different to emergency x

Had 2 electives and loved them both! Amazing births and easy recoveries, I’ll have my third kid the same way. Even my obstetrician and my midwife chose electives for themselves xx

Elective was the best!!!! And turned out my new doc said I’d have needed one anyway bc my pelvis is narrow! Do it!
