Wedding attendance

I am so exhausted, I had to RSVP, so just said yes to wedding end of the month. My partner is best man and arriving the day before. I have to get myself and baby ready on my own and get to the wedding.

I really don’t know if I can cope with it. I am so sleep deprived and won’t enjoy it, but also need to support my partner.
We are breastfeeding and don’t have anyone I feel comfortable leaving my baby with.

Also, someone has asked my partner if I can give them a lift on the day. I am already stressed enough about it and really don’t want to but seem like a dick if I don’t. It has bugged me a bit that they can’t ask me directly!

Message the person your giving a lift to. Ask them if they could come earlier. You get baby dressed, leave them to keep eye on baby, you get dressed?

Thats rough. Message them and say you have too much on your plate to worry about them too. If they can get to you your more than welcome to give them a lift, if not, find another way 🤷‍♀️

I had a wedding a few weeks ago and I set expectations early on for my partner and the bride and groom that I would have to leave early etc etc, your little one is so young everyone will understand,

The good thing bout having a 6mo is if youre socially and emotionally drained you can stick with them and seperate from people when you need a break and no on will question it because it looks like you are just looking aftet the baby 😂

I'll be honest at the time I struggled to get through the wedding but In heinsight im glad I went.

As for the lift, honestly make excuses ir just be straight up and, honestly who cares if they judge you for saying no, I think this is a great opportunity to set boundaries. as this is gunna be a continual practice now you are prioritising your little one

Try and make the most of it and take it all slow 🐌 😴
