Hello all
My baby is formula fed exclusively. So far we have been able to manage as i am mostly at home and used the ready to feed for when outside. But now we have to use special formula so can't use ready to feed.
How do you manage preparing formula when out and about?
I am conscious of ensuring water is at right tempature to kill the bacteria and but feeds only last 2 hours once you make it.
So confused and dont know what's the best way.
Using a thermos flask? How do you know what tempature after some hours if outside all day??
Help 😬😫

Thermos flasks for hot water, I pop in a cafe or coffee shop and ask for more if needed. You can buy water thermometers if you want to check the temperature I used to when she was young.
I also use the nuby rapid cool flasks to cool a feed when out. (There thermos flasks is rubbish so best bet is one from amazon)
I also have the nuby rapid cools steraliser so can steralise out and about.
Some people do got shot method so don't need to stearlise the flasks but I can't get along with it. I have 3 flasks so normally plenty for when out.

For me, I was not that conscious as you are with the temp, or sterilization. My first was able to use powder, so I just had one of those formula containers prefilled with the scoop. Carried her water in a yeti and we were on our way. My second daughter had to be on RTF formula, and I just kept it in a cooler and had a yeti of boiling water to warm it. The temp wasn't always the same but my daughter had no problem.
Just carried 2 bottles and that was it. I think you'll get varied opinions how to go about it, but there are so many travel amenities now I'm sure you'll find something

I got the baby's brew portable bottle warmer and dispenser set. It was a life saver with 2 kids. We used it A LOT!! I got it on sale, and it has more than earned it's value.

i got the rapicool bundle from nuby and it worked wonders. it has a thermos and a rapid cooking flask which is brilliant. if not i always got the already prepped milk bottles and fed her at the temperature they were at.

My pediatrician said at the 4 motnh appointment we don't need to boil water anymore. Either filtered or bottled. So I proportion formula into breast milk baggies so I'm ready with empty bottles.

i have a preprepped larger bottles in a cooler for how many feeds i would have while being out. my baby only eats 4 ounces still at 7 months so i make a 8 oz bottle cool it and take it on the go in a cooler with ice. when its close to feeding time i pour the serving into a 4 ounce bottle and let it rest for a bit before giving it to baby. my formula last 2 hours without baby touching at room temp so i have more than enough time for it to get to room temp. or if im in a hurry i ask for a cup of hot water and put the bottle in it a few mins. by the time im home i make more formula.
