Am I being insensitive for thinking its ridiculous that people would do a massive balloon release in memory of someone who has passed away?
Of course it's extremely sad news and they should absolutely celebrate their loved ones life, but releasing 50+ helium balloons into the sky is such a selfish thing to do, and you'd think people would be more environmentally aware nowadays? Or is it just acceptable because its in memory of someone who has passed and I'm being too insensitive?

I don’t know why people are still doing it, we know there are such terrible consequences 😔

There's so many other ways to do it that's harmless... Completely agree
