Being really ill

I’m 36 weeks and I’ve been feeling shocked ill recently and I’ve been told that it could be a sign of my body getting ready for labor but I’m unsure if anyone who’s had a similar experience at all could give me some advice that would be great

I got really ill at 36 weeks pregnant and was treated with anti biotics but due to being so far gone they could only give a certain amount, my daughter was then born borderline septic as I developed pneumonia and had passed through the placenta and she was very ill and needed antibiotics, oxygen etc. if you are feeling really ill please please please I beg you get it checked and don’t just let people tell you it’s because you’re pregnant etc because that’s what happened to me and all of what I just said was the outcome 🙏🏼

Hi. I don't have any advice but I had a reaaaallly bad cold two weeks before I gave birth, and all I kept thinking was I CANT GO INTO LABOUR LIKE THIS I CANT BREATHE OR THINK. I don't think it had any link to starting my labour but my midwife said it's common to have a bad cold in the weeks before birth as your body starts to prep. Id say just ride it out and hopefully it's gone before you give birth. Good luck!

Need advice from moms who had preeclampsia 🥺

I’m currently about 5 months pregnant and I’m honestly really scared. I had preeclampsia with both of my previous pregnancies, and I still haven’t booked a prenatal appt for this pregnancy yet. I know I need to call and make one ASAP, but I’ve been putting it off and now I’m worried.

Has anyone else gone this long without seeing a dr or booking prenatal care and still gone on to have a healthy pregnancy and delivery?

For those who had preeclampsia before, did u get it again in another pregnancy? What did ur drs do to help lower the risks?

I’m terrified of something happening to me during pregnancy or childbirth and would really appreciate hearing from anyone who’s been thru something similar. Plz no judgment, I’m alrdy beating myself up for waiting this long 💜

Pregnancy pillows

Hey ladies! Does anyone have any good recommendations for pregnancy pillows? I just got a basic V-shape one last time but I don’t recall it helping all that much..

TIA 🤍

How to survive the first trimester

Hi everyone,

I’m pregnant (only 7 weeks but feeling it big time) and I work in a hospital. My job is quite physically and mentally demanding. I have a toddler at home with very limited support network.

Everyday, I feel extremely exhausted. And it’s killed my appetite as every time I think of food, I feel nauseous. Even when I’m not thinking about food, I’m nauseous. I haven’t thrown up so far but I feel sick all the time.

How did people survive their first trimester? I’m thinking of taking annual leave but I don’t have much left. I can’t call in sick because I feel like my employer will just fire me.
