Anyone else stuck in a cycle of early wake ups? Every morning she’s ready to go at 5:30 and starts flipping over in the cot so we have to get up. Doesn’t seem to matter what time she goes to bed or feeds in the night. I’m wondering if it’s because it is getting light so early now? Anyone else dealing with this or have ideas on how we can get just one more hour in the mornings?

Sorry no advice but just want to say we have had the exact same thing for months up until Saturday! She has randomly started sleeping to 6:30/7am giving us chance to get up and ready. No advice but just a word to say I know how it feels and it can literally just change over night xx

🙋♀️ better back out blind has helped but still happens. Often fills his nappy too so can’t just leave him! Sometimes can feed back to sleep and I end up in chair with him asleep on me but this morning just grinning at me. Tried a thicker sleep sack again last night as cooler but still no difference. Doesn’t seem to matter if he has good or rubbish naps either.

Were the same - nothing to seems to mean a longer lie in!

My daughter is exactly the same, i just keep telling myself it will get better 🥱😂 x

Same for us. I have to go and give him the dummy repeatedly and he goes back to sleep. My experience with my my older ones - the only way to deal with it is to let them cry until whatever wake up time you set - normally 11 hours after bedtime. After several nights eventually they’ll get it. I haven’t done this with my baby yet because it will mean my older girls get woken up by his crying. So just sucking it up for now!

Same! Gets to 4am and she’s soo hard to settle after that then is awake for the day from around 5.30 x

Hi, infant/toddler sleep coach here! There could be a few reasons for the early wake ups. Overtiredness, lack of sleep pressure, environment factors (like being light outside like you said). Or, the most likely reason is it’s become habitual now. So little one is now in the habit of getting up early and it can be a tricky cycle to break!
You can find me on Facebook/instagram if you’d like some help with this! (@whisper.sleep.coach) x

We have early mornings too. Started getting earlier as the sun was rising early. But its just a thing kids do. My neices (5 and 2) can wake early.
You can try black out curtains/blinds, but I've just accepted it

Same here… only hope I have is that my 2 year old was the same at her age and eventually it got better and he wakes up now anywhere between 6-8am
