Hi all, just looking for some advice as I’m a FTM. My daughter is 15.5 months. She took her first steps at 9 months and didn’t babble until 11/12 months so we were super worried about her development until that point. She is incredibly bright and can make the sounds of a sheep, lion, cat, pants for a dog, smacks lips for a fish when asked. She said ‘uh oh’ but doesn’t use this independently, again only when asked really. She babbles mama and baba but still won’t say dada. She doesn’t shake or nod her head yet, she doesn’t point to show us her intent/want but can point to all her facial features on request. She knows other gestures like blow kiss, wave, high five, actions to some songs but I’m wondering if she’s where she should be developmentally despite the areas she’s lacking in. Is anyone else’s baby not saying ‘true words’ or pointing? I know every baby is different but really hard not to compare to my friends children and worry!
