I am SO unmotivated to exercise, Im 8 months PP, and I feel like it took forever to even heal enough to do housework again. Now I'm trying to find my body again, and I just don't recognize the blob in the mirror. Unfortunately, little man doesn't like to be away from me for very long unless he's getting into mischief. His dad works all day so I don't have time to spend going to the gym. Realistically, these are just excuses because I dont want to exercise or do anything! All I want to do is eat pizza and drink soda. Ugh anyone have ways to motivate themselves?

I am in the same boat! I have 2 kids 3 and 8 months and I feel like it’s impossible to get anything done let alone find time to work out.. I already feel burnt out and I get zero alone time.. it’s so draining and leaves me unmotivated as well but I hate putting clothes on bc nothing fits anymore.. I also hate seeming myself in pictures bc I’m like wow that’s what I look like bc it’s just not how I see myself .. ugh hopefully someone has some tips but I’m hear to say you are not alone!! Prayers it gets better for the both of us and we find our motivation!

I completely get that! I'm only 3 months PP after a C-section and it feels like it's taken forever just to feel normal again. Between breastfeeding, broken sleep and looking after a little one, finding the energy to exercise is so hard.
I lost a lot of weight before pregnancy too, so I'm trying not to put too much pressure on myself and just start small. I think getting out for walks now the weather is improving is probably the best place to start. It would be lovely to have a little group of local mums to walk with for some motivation and company!

Girl you saying that you just wanna eat pizza and drink soda is so real cause ME TOO😭 this is my second C-section and I really let myself go the first time around and I refuse to let myself go this second time.. I’m only two months postpartum, and I just now started with diastasis recti deep core breathing exercises, trying to recognize and reengage my core. I’ve been doing it for about two weeks 15 a day everyday & I have noticed that starting with super small goals build confidence and makes you want to push yourself more when it becomes easy. Every time that I want an extra slice or a bigger portion of food than I need I think about how out of breath I am going up one flight of stairs it’s embarrassing. Being fat gives you so many disadvantages in life and takes away so many experiences that life has to offer. it’s not about exercise it’s a whole lifestyle change! It won’t be easy but it will be so worth it.

After my first C-section, I didn’t get my original body back, but I did lose at least 60 pounds and I swear it was because I did just dance on YouTube every single day for like 45 minutes. You don’t have to be in the gym for hours. You can realistically regain strength and lose the way you need to at home with no equipment there’s a lot of girls on YouTube with easy 10min videos to follow

I have spice Girls dance parties with my baby girl (4 months pp) she loves 90s and 00s pop music, gets all kicky legs and smiley so I jump around whilst she kicks her legs on her mat, and ill like squat down to her and lay next to her to do legs 🤷♀️ I'm just making it up as I go tbf but its fun 🤣

The motivation for me was wanting to feel confident again and obviously my physical health for my kids. I want them to see me prioritize my health so they prioritize theirs. I also want to be able to run away carrying them if necessary.
What’s your husband doing to help? For me, my husband is keeping me on track by kinda being my “personal trainer” by helping count my calories and being strict on it.

I have a 19 month old and a 6 month old and I had an emergency section with my second I find that my toddler loves to join in with the more fun workouts like grow with jo which are always my go to when I feel unmotivated and I’ve had great results and when my toddler is happy to play by himself but my 6 month old is clingy I do baby carrier safe workouts on YouTube. I do find though that my 6 month old enjoys watching me do the grow with jo ones too though as they’re very interactive so I just pop him in his chair or on his mat and do the workout facing him and interacting with him. Even if you don’t get to finish the workout because your baby wants you you’ll have at least done something!! Anything is better than nothing, consistency over perfection ❤️
