So a few days ago I took my 2 month old to see her doctor because she wasn’t eating, crying all night long and only had one wet diaper all day. She went to see her doctor at 530pm and like I said barley eating and only one wet diaper. So she recommended to take her to the ER in case of dehydration. So I took her and they checked her and said that she looked fine and said that I just needed to feed her less. Mind you she eats about 4 ounces every 4-5 hours and sometimes she will only take 2 ounces. But they said to only feed her 2 ounces every 3 hours because she might be crying due to being too full. So now that I’m home she’s eating two ounces like the hospital said but there’s times where she won’t eat the whole two ounces. Sometimes she is only eating once ounce and she’s still crying all night long. From 8pm to 5am and when she finally does stop crying she’s sleeping all day long and I’m having a hard time getting her to stay awake when it’s time for her to eat. I tried waking her up today to eat and shes barely opening her eyes and I can’t get her to fully wake up and there’s times where she does start crying like she’s waking up to because she’s hungry but her eyes stay shut and then she goes quiet again. I have to force feed her just for her to eat. I feel so defeated because nobody is listening to me when I’m telling them what’s going on with my baby.

Have they ruled out reflux? Tongue/lip ties?

Colic is such a broad term that can have so many causes. This sounds a lot like reflux issues - if you haven't already, make sure any tongue/ lip tie is ruled out, as that is a common cause of silent reflux. Seeing a chiropractor can also be beneficial - I took my girl after she had her ties released to Dr Kori in Mesa(Core Chiropractic), and the difference was drastic. She went from constant crankiness to calm most of the time

My first was colic and it was very similar to this. I changed her formula several times. The formulas that she was on gave her so much gas and pain it made her not want to eat and made her scream all night. If you’re worried still I would try another doctor that is willing to listen to your concerns as well. You deserve to be heard.
