Wondered if anyone feels the same? I feel like I’m just mum, don’t really have much other purpose, I have a just over 2 year and a 3 month old who I love dearly. Me and my husband don’t really spend any time together but I get that life gets in the way. Sometimes at the end of the month I have to ask him for money which hurts my pride, he is the breadwinner as I’m looking after the children and on mat leave. He asked that when I go back to work will I look at getting a better paid job. I feel like a disappointment to him.

It hurt my pride asking for money when I was on mat leave too.
Don’t be too disappointed, he’s probably worried about the financial aspect of having children.
I know my partner felt a lot of pressure when I was on mat leave, if he were to lose his job or something we would have been in trouble. He had 3 months paternity from his work and his boss in the states got annoyed that he was off so much.
It is a lot to handle, trying to be the one to keep everything afloat financially.
Just like it’s a lot to be the one who basically does all parenting.
I feel you two should try to do something together once a week, or at least every other week. Have some wine and sit and chat.
