If you had an elective section, did your date go ahead?

I’m on the morning list for tomorrow but I have a bad feeling it’ll get pushed back. I just want to manage my expectations 🫣

Also, if you’re on the morning list and an emergency comes in for example, do you just get pushed back to the afternoon slots or do they try and stick to the plan and cancel the morning ones to do the afternoons? If that makes sense 😂

My date wasnt changed but my time changed from morning, to first on the afternoon list, to last on the afternoon list. But didn’t find out about being moved to last on the afternoon list until we got there x

I was in the afternoon list and they called me to see if I could do morning instead coz someone had baby the day before and they had a spot earlier. And when I went there in the morning it was a bit delayed coz if an emergency but baby was born at 12.30 so it should be ok unless there are many emergencies.

LMP vs Dating Scan

I know due dates are estimations, however I am in my third trimester and I have noticed conversation start to shift towards induction or c section purely based off my dating scan, no other indicated risk or concern.

With my first he arrived at 40+12 after multiple sweeps.

This is my second pregnancy, LMP estimated date: 16/08/2026. Dating scan placed me a week further and my revised due date is 08/08/2026.

I’m just wondering
1) second time mum’s did your baby come before, after or around the same time as your first

2) also how to frame conversations around due date estimations. I am going for a VBAC and despite being classed as low risk, I feel that my due date is already being used as a tactic! I want to give my body the opportunity to go into spontaneous labour without pressure especially if there is a weeks discrepancy.

So far they are suggesting not going over 41 weeks.

Thanks

Larger than average baby at nearly 36 weeks

So I've just been to a scan appointment and my baby is measuring more than 97th percentile. I've been screened for gestational diabetes which was normal and my amniotic fluid is normal. They have discussed for another scan in 2 weeks time and discussed induction at 39 weeks if still off the chart. This is my 2nd baby who came on due date naturally and was nearly 8lbs so this is all new to me. Anyone else experiencing anything similar to this? Anyone willing to share their experiences good or bad?

Vaginal birth after emergency c-section

My sons birth ended in an emergency c-section due to complications. He will be nearly 4 and a half when I give birth this time. Has anyone had a vaginal birth after an emergency c-section?

Due sooner than expected!!

So I’m due July 12th and I’m curious how do contractions feel? Where are they located? Sometimes I get sharp pain around my crotch or on it after sitting and I’m wondering if that’s a contraction??? This is my FIRST pregnancy so I appreciate honest answers and if you need to comment something rude then scroll 🙏
