Relationship advice

Not been intimate in a year. Baby is 6 months. I have PND and we have zero family support. I want to feel like this is more than just a friendship. I have started trying to get baby into a routine so we can get some child free time together. Any other ideas?

I felt a lot better once we were able to get a couple of hours to ourselves in the living room to have a nice meal, cuddle and a movie once my baby was moved into her cot. The connection between us strengthened again.

Your body, hormones and emotions have been through a lot. Give yourself some grace. It doesn't actually matter you haven't been intimate in a year - I think that's actually quite common after birth. See if you can communicate with each other now how you'd both like to see the intimate side of your relationship move forward again. Can your partner also give you a bit of time for self care.

We were the exact same after our little boy, and the longer it went the more pressure we both felt (internally, not putting on each other) which made it worse I think. Eventually we had a really big talk and just like thought dumped how we were feeling but probably didn't even fully understand or realise until we voiced it. It made us both feel lighter and relieved a lot of the pressure. After that, we agreed to just focus on intimacy generally rather than sex, so like anything from a squeeze or hug during the day, to kissing/touching but with no expectation for it to 'go anywhere'. We also acknowledged that it was fine to have sex like 3 times in a week and then not again for a month based on sleep regressions etc.
