What would you do?

If your brother in law has been arrested for domestic stalking and released currently under Section 12 of the Mental Health Act how would you personally feel?
He has got mental health issues and has Schizophrenia episodes of addiction phases which have included gambling and currently AI and online stuff.
I’ve been domestically harassed in the past and genuinely not sure how it’s making me feel.
He lives with his mum who’s not fully fit medically herself and it’s her I really feel for as he’s currently on his way home now
