My 10 month old boy has chickenpox

Hi mamas just wanting to find out everyone’s experience of babies similar age having chickenpox. Today is the 3rd day since the first two blisters appeared. He has no fever so far and doesn’t seem like he is itchy apart from the last two nights he has been slightly more cranky than usual and crying a few times. How long did it take for your baby’s blisters to scab and fall out? I am giving him antihistamine which the GP prescribed this month for another issue and offering calpol before bedtime those last few days. If he doesn’t seem in discomfort should I still use calomine lotion or leave it?

My youngest caught it at 5 months and coped a lot better than my 4 year old! I used poxclin rather than calamine lotion after every bath and kept him in sleepsuits to reduce the chances of scratching. He was too young for antihistamine but was fine with calpol x
