Family pressuring baby No2
My parents keep pestering me about another baby😬. I always said I'd have one more and a closeish age gap but my partner and I were going to see where we are at when our son is 18 months old and if we're ready then so be it, if not we'd come back to it after a few more months.
My parents on the other hand are determined for me to have a closer age gap. My sister and I are 18 months apart and we are pretty close. When I mention a 2+year gap my parents go into one😂 about how us sisters are so close blah blah blah but I keep explaining that not all siblings close in age get along as adults!? So why are we rushing.
And if they want the age gap me and my sister have that means getting pregnant now!! Absolutely not 🙂↔️🙂↔️
Anyone else getting an earful on having babies close in age?

Mine are just shy of 3 years apart and I find it pretty good. It depends on you and your kids temperament. It was rough for the first few months but having him older has helped enormously as he is more willing to play alone and is eager to help out.
I have friends with 18-24 month gaps and they struggled massively for the first year or two but then others cope well with a smaller gap. You just won't know until it is a reality.
But to add! My partner is one of 7, most are 2(ish) years apart. None of them really got on growing up and now they hardly speak so 🤷
