Our kitchen is separate to our living room and you can't see into the living room from the kitchen. I have a 20 month old son who has lots of energy and loves climbing/exploring.
My issue is that when I'm washing up or cooking and he's playing in the living room, he'll often start climbing chairs, onto window ledges, arms of sofa, tox box etc and will sometimes fall and hurt himself. I have baby-proofed the house as much as possible but he will always find something! I've tried letting him 'help' in the kitchen but it always turns to chaos and takes hours, and I've put things in the kitchen for him to play with but he always wants to go back to the living room.
The only time I'm able to actually get anything done is when he's watching something, so I usually end up putting the TV on but then feel guilty about it.
Any advice or tips please?
