Does anyone else not have a bedtime routine for their toddler/20 month old? A lot of moms I talk to say this is controversial but I’m literally like a type z mom. Idgaf about NOTHING. My child has bath 1 maybe 2 times a week. Ain’t nobody got time for that especially with a 9 and 11 year old as well. I also have 0 bedtime routines. When it’s time for bed, it’s time for bed. Sometimes we read a book, sometimes it’s just bottle and goodnight. And he sleeps through the night. Every night. But I’ve been getting a lot of shit about it. Let me know your thoughts. No judgements. Like I said. Idgaf.

At least you’re doing bath once a week. We are maybe once every two weeks or every week maybe. Depends on how dirty they get haha. We are trying to do somewhat of a routine just because we put my almost 3 year old and my 4 year old in a room together so they need like a calm down time before they sleep. But sometimes they go to sleep anywhere between 7 and like 9:30

I don't necessarily have a bedtime routine, but I've noticed that if we aren't home by a specific time and like ready to start winding down, with, like quiet time, playing reading books that kind of stuff. She is harder to put to sleep, but it's not like we have a set schedule of 7 PM. We have to have baths 730. We have to be in jammies and 8 PM. She has to be in the bed. No, it's more like she will naturally put herself to sleep. And put herself down for bed, so long as we're home on time. And she can have her little quiet time playing time

As long as they’re in bed by 9, or earlier if they’re really tired lol. I’m a single mom and honestly my output capacity varies daily. If I’m tired or not feeling good my oldest might get to watch a show a little later than usual. But I try to have the projector off by 8 at the latest to let the kids play for an hour ish before lights out. If I’m feeling up to it I’ll read or sing them to sleep. If my oldest decides to fight her sleep tho I do stop once it becomes obvious
I usually put him to bed around 8:30-9 just bc his dad doesn’t get home till then and I want him to spend some time with him. He’s very much an iPad/tv kid. He LOVES the wiggles, monster trucks, and ms. Rachel and I let him watch it until it’s time for bed and then we just go to bed. He might fight it for a minute but then he eventually falls asleep. And he’s the sweetest/snuggliest boy you will ever meet.
