What would you do
My almost 19 month old has had a cough going on 6 weeks now. You can hear/see all the crap he’s coughing up.
Doctor checked him last week and said he was fine. This weekend he’s now had a slight fever 38.5. He’s fine in himself, bit grissly here and there but playing and quite happy. His dad has also had a chest infection and is on antibiotics fyi.
Could he now have an infection with the fever? Would you take him to the doctor again on Monday and push to try and get something? I’m worried they’ll just turn us away again because his vitals are okay.

Could have possibly turned into an ear infection. I would probably have him checked again just to make sure lungs and ears are clear. If so, possibly just picked up something else viral along the way on top of the cough.
Doctor, call them today. In the UK they see them say day.
