Hey ladies! When did you put your little ones in a booster seat? My son will be 4 in December and they say when they’re 4 or 40lbs then they suggest the change. He really loves using a seatbelt whenever he can and hates his toddler car seat also is getting big for it. My son is around 30-35lbs and tends to grow length-wise not width-wise lol

Without knowing his length, his weight is well within the range to continue rear facing in a harnessed seat for the best safety.

He could still be rear facing and that would be the safest. Best practice is to max out the requirements and not go by the minimum. My daughter is at least 41 inches and almost 38lbs and she will be in her convertible car seat for the foreseeable future.
There is no way at 30-35lbs your 3.5 year old is too big for the convertible seat.
