My daughter is a side sleeper. I put her down on her back every single time and she rolls onto her side and will fall asleep. She's never rolled over onto her tummy yet but I'm paranoid waiting for the day she can and I won't sleep again until she can fully hold her head up 😩😩ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ she's 2 weeks and 5 days old.
I've tried constantly moving her back onto her back, every single time she moves onto her side or fusses until I let her. Once she's on her side she'll drift off into a peaceful sleep. I'm forever constantly checking her to see if she'a breathing or rolled onto her tummy and gotten stuck.
The picture is of the position she will get herself into every time. With her hand under her head. I'm lost for ideas please help ðŸ˜ðŸ˜©

My baby girl rolled to her side this early as well. she’s 4 and a half months now and JUST started to roll and sleep on her tummy. it’s gonna take a while but the side sleeping is fine as long as she’s doing it herself and you’re placing her on her back initially!

My health visitor said that as long as baby is put on their back when you put them down they will be ok. Just gently move them back. I said to her i think my baby will be a front sleeper. She said it will be fine aslong as the airway is clear and you aren't the one to put baby down any other way than on theor back.

Baby will be fine and obviously prefers her side. Also you’re regularly checking on her so nothing to worry about 🥰

Its called the newborn curl. Could take her to a physio or osteo to help release some body tension.

Mine was like this, she wouldn’t sleep any other way. We’d settle her onto her back, she rolled to her side. She was like this from a few weeks to 6 months. She now rolls from the side to her front. She’s 8 months now. As long as you’re checking and ensuring she’s not blocking her airway, she should be ok.
