Ex partner has taken our son

My ex partner has taken our 10 month old son as a last resort to stop me and my 4 young children leaving and moving away after a relationship breakdown due to him being a narcissist and a compulsive liar. He’s done this despite me telling him he can see his children every weekend but we just can’t be together anymore. I pleaded with him to bring him home and he’s refused. It’s on police file, I’ve rang social services, got legal aid involved and have an appointment booked for 2 weeks time. It seems so far away though and my poor little boy is going to be wondering where his mummy and sisters have gone which is breaking me and my other children😢 is there anything else I could be doing in the meantime because I feel helpless at this point? He’s never been away from me before 😔
