Pain management

I had to have a tooth pulled yesterday due to a chronic infection. I’m 15 weeks and the only thing they’ve said I can have is paracetamol but I’m in so much pain. The paracetamol does nothing. It constantly aches, I can’t even talk without it hurting. Has anyone been through this and recommended different pain killers?

Could you ask your midwife if you can use anbesol? I know we use it on babies but maybe it could soothe the area abit? Also cold compress night ease swelling
