Hi! Could you please share your induction experiences at QC and other uk hospitals? How long would that take? Which steps you had to go through? How easy was all the process?

Hey, I am in Essex. I had the pessary (at 36+5) and hey presto that's all I needed, I reacted & dilated very quickly (probably too quick) and had an episiotomy + forceps.

I had a great experience not at QC. But was inducted at 42 weeks at 11am, had the pessary and choose to stay at the hospital while we waited for this to work. I went in to a labour ward with contractions at 4:30pm and had my little girl at 2:30am. Natural both just had to be cut slightly and on gas and air.

I was induced at 37 weeks due to placenta failure and had the whole shebang - pessaries, gel, water broken, and pitocin but had a vaginal birth with a 2nd degree tear that was fine healing wise!
I was so unbelievably nervous about induction in general but next time will be happy to do it. It was really straightforward and I had a positive experience overall. The only thing I'd do differently is accept the epidural from the get go, as the pitocin affected me so fast.
I was at Frimley park hospital.
