Not doing ‘enough’ to prep?!

FTM here due in September. Now I’m approaching 3rd trimester I’m suddenly panicking thinking ‘I haven’t been for enough walks’, ‘I haven’t been training my legs’, ‘I haven’t been doing stretches regularly’ as all has been advice from recent birth-givers. Am I overthinking?!

I’m pregnant with my second. I was soooooo lazy first time round (and this time round tbf 🤣) so if these recommendations have come to supposedly help you have a better labour and recovery, let me reassure you that despite being a couch potato my entire first pregnancy, I had the quickest, easiest labour! Funnily enough the only thing I did do to prep was perennial massage and yet I still had a third degree tear (which honestly was nowhere near as bad as you hear for me personally). That’s just my experience, but don’t stress. Your body was made for this! X

Could’ve written this myself! It’s so overwhelming - i need a step by step guide 😂 surely there’s something out there to help us?!

2TM here, chill my love! All you need is clothes, nappies, wipes and a sling.
Trust your body and relax with it. The more you go with it the easier you body will cope with the Labour.
It’s bloody hard and incredible at the same time. I did no exercise or stretching or walking and my baby came out with no tears. Took along time mind but it was fine. In the end they could have cut my entire leg off and I wouldn’t have minded. As soon as your baby is placed in your arms the whole world stops ❤️

Thank you so much guys 🥹 it’s so hard the first time around!!

Training your legs? Doing stretches? You’re not running a marathon, give yourself some grace. Giving birth is no easy feat but I don’t think training your legs is going to make a difference. Obviously keeping your body strong and healthy is always beneficial but honestly… your body was built to give birth. Please don’t worry, you could do all the “training” in the world and still end up with a C section for all you know. I wouldn’t worry too much x

I’m not sure how any of those things are going to help you have a baby tbh? I’m due my second in September and I’d say the two things that really helped me prepare first time round were doing an NCT class, to learn all about caring for baby but also meeting other local first time mums, and going to Aqua natal once a week as I found this was the only thing that made my body stop aching by the end (literally describing to other people as the best hour of my week). Hope all goes well for you x

I’m not from this group I’m from Sept 24 but I came to tell all of you ITS GONNA BE OK!!!!!

I was the exact same as you all, and my birth and labour was beautiful & so was everything after.

Your body knows what it’s doing whether you go for a walk or not, whether you drink special tea or not, whether you stretch or not.

You’re gonna be ok 🫶🏽

The stress that comes with being pregnant 😳

I’ve been out all day running round getting things done and making the most of this nice weather only to realise tonight, I haven’t felt baby move today. Of course panic sets in. Got myself comfortable on the sofa with a snack and after 30 mins of waiting… baby finally decided to start moving 🥲😆

How? 😂

Those of you that have gone past your due date, how in the actual f are you coping?
I’m due to be induced a few days before my due date and I’m struggling so much just in general.
My pelvis is so heavy and achey I literally can’t be bothered to do anything that is remotely like moving. Even rolling over in bed is absolutely disgusting 😂.

How are you coping?!

What’s the best month in your opinion to get pregnant?

Hi ladies what would you say is the best month to conceive ? I was thinking around February March as I would love to have a baby near Christmas time and have a little newborn near Christmas. What do you all think?

Glucose test

Has anyone else had a glucose test to check for diabetes? I went this morning, after 1 hour I threw it all back up which means I have to go back next week to try again. Any tips for surviving that 2hour wait without throwing up 😫😫
