Before anyone says just test, i will but i dont have any tests until the shop opens at 10am and im spiralling.
Me and my partner haven’t actively been trying yet until next month, however, we have been a bit careless the last couple of times we’ve had sex. those times have fell around ovulation and not actually on it.
Long story short, i started spotting on thursday evening, (a day late on my period) very very light pink blood (this has never happened to me before) usually if my periods come it’s bam there heavy and painful. anyway, a couple hours later i wipe and there’s more red blood but not loads, so i assumed period and put a tampon in.
friday and saturday it is very light, i normally fill the toilet bowl with blood when i wee (tmi sorry) but this time round i haven’t once, i have filled one tampon in the whole time but its taken a good few hours to do so, now i am bone dry no blood to be seen, this is so unusual for me and chat gpt is saying either a normal shorter lighter period but possibly could be pregnant. has this happened to anyone else please? as its not happened to me before and im worrying now!

A friend of mine experienced what she believed was a very light period but she did turn out to be pregnant when I suggested a test. Would a month earlier pregnancy be a bad thing if you were going to try next month? All will be ok, don't panic. Could be a blessing you just didn't see coming 💛

It would be entirely possible because sperm live up to 5 days in the female body, so even if you missed the ovulation day itself, you definitely could get pregnant. I suppose also sometimes life events or illness can mess with our periods a bit and we can experience them differently. Keep us updated! Xo
