Really random post but I need help with fruit flies

I've had an issue with them in my kitchen for the past two weeks. They came from pantry where I keep my onions and potatoes. I threw everything old away and did a deep clean but can't seem to get rid of them even with the spray. I've used so much spray I had to go and buy a new bottle and we are practically drinking the spray at this point!!!! They now seem to have migrated into the kitchen and a few in the sitting room and I can't figure out what's happening. I've never had this issue before. My husband thinks something might be dead in the walls I.e. A mouse but surely the flies would be bigger?!

Apple cider vinegar or white wine vinegar in a pot with cling film over it. Pierce some small holes in the cling film, they will go in to get to the vinegar and won't be able to get back out. Works like a charm every time 😀

If you are not opposed to killing flies, there are fly traps you can get. There are ones that are like a jar of syrup, they crawl in and die. I know its not pleasant and not for everyone but it works. We had them a few years ago when our house plant got sick and grew a mould on it. It got rid of them quickly.
