Febrile seizures

Hey my little girl had a febrile seizure 2 days ago was carrying her home from nursery and she had a seizure in my arms. No warning signs other than she just seemed tired. I’m traumatised from it all I’ll never forget it. Was brought to hospital her temperature was high and sugar levels were low. Was discharged home a few hours later. Ever since this has happened I’m a nervous wreck like I can’t leave her side my anxiety is through the roof. I’m panicking every time she moves I’m awake on and off most of the night checking her. I’m in the same room with her at night Has anyone ever experienced this ?

Aww bless you 🥺 that must have been so scary to witness, no wonder you are on edge. I've never experienced this but can imagine it's very frightening. What I do know from other people who have experienced it is that it is usually not dangerous and it's pretty common apparently. Does she still have a temperature? If not, then chances that she will have another seizure are extremely low.

That makes sense - I would be exactly the same. Poor little toot. I have pretty bad health anxiety so I know first hand what it can feel like to worry yourself sick. Especially when it's your baby. You're right though, it should ease with time x
