First time on the plane. Its only a 40 min flight so I'm not worried about entertainment. But he eats a LOT. Does anyone have some tips for easy snacks to bring to the airport that will last and are filling? What can you bring through security?

Depends on your approach to food. We’ve flown a few times I find cucumber sticks are great as they take a bit of time. Blueberries don’t make too much mess. Every flight we’ve had has been over a meal time so I also take her some puffy pastry pinwheel snacks as a main meal. I would also just have a load of packaged stuff like oat cakes, cheese crackers, rice cakes etc to make sure I don’t run out as like you my child eats a lot. The shortest flight we’ve done was 1.5 hours and the toughest part is just working on their ears at take off and landing. It doesn’t need to be sucking a milk bottle, eating worked for mine as well as drinking from a water bottle.

In terms of security depends on the airport, lots these days have listed the liquids rule so you can take almost anything (I travelled for work last week to Belfast and took a really saucer tomatoe based dish for lunch and it was fine)
