8 week old - less smiles

My daughter is 8 weeks nearly 9 weeks. She used to be a very happy, smiley content little baby. However we’ve come away on holiday, she’s got a cold and has stopped smiling. I’m really worried why she’s stopped smiling and where this fussiness has come from. She’s got 2 siblings and we’ve seen friends with young children. Do you think she’s just overstimulated/ feeling poorly? Just some reassurance would be great

I don’t know if it’s similar, but my gosh since hitting 9 weeks my LO has been an absolute devil! He’s really fussy, cries constantly, poor sleep. I’m tearing my hair out. I thought the fussiness was meant to peak at 8 weeks, but it seems we’re a week late 😂
Perhaps it’s the same? Maybe she feels rough with her cold?

Has she had her 8 week jabs?

My LO stopped smiling in the days following his jabs as he wasn’t feeling well after that. Could just be because she’s not feeling well.

You might see more from 9 weeks

Help! Difficult newborn

I thought the newborn stage was meant to be easy! My 3 week old is very hard to get to fall asleep… is breastfed but won’t feed to sleep… I’m having to rock or walk around for ages for every nap? Anyone else like this is this normal?

Water stuck in dummy

Hi just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to get water out of the dummy teat? I sterilised in boiling water and when I took them out the teats all have water in them. One is a tommee tippee, another is a mam and another is a Tesco one if that makes any difference. Thanks!

Can I still produce milk after 2 months?

I want to start back breastfeeding but I’m not sure if it’s possible I can produce milk again? I stop trying to juggle everything as a first time mom and didn’t have enough time or patience to pump so I just wanna if it’s possible.

What the heck is going on with these night wakings?

My baby is 8 months and a pretty good sleeper. We had the 4 month regression at 4.5 months and maybe skipped the 6 month one or it merged who knows. But now for the last 3 days he has woken up around 2am and taken an hour to fall asleep. Tonight /last night it took 2 hours. Milk doesn't settle him the only thing that worked was putting him in his pram and walking around the house (on my freshly mopped floors might I add lol). Me and his dad are struggling to settle him and usually I can settle him. I'm wondering what the heck is going on.?!!!!! It all started with him waking himself up trying to crawl in his cot.
