For those of you who knew you were already dilated a little bit before you actually went into labor do you feel like you progressed faster? With my first I was in labor for over 24 hours and start labor not dilated or anything. I'm currently pregnant with my second and found out yesterday at 34 + 5 weeks I'm already almost 3cm now ik that doesn't really mean labor is coming soon but I am wondering if that means I have a good shot at not being in labor forever like I was with my first.

Even without being dilated they say the second labor is faster. And it was true in my case. Its like when you first climb a hill. The frist time takes forever and its really hard. But you do it again and your body remembers what it needs to do and its easier to get to the top. That may be a bad metaphor. But I feel like you get what im saying.
And also yes, my last pregnancy I was almost 6 before I made it to the hospital and my son was out before they finished checking me in. But that was during covid so we were told to labor at home longer

You've made the outside world sound to exciting, she can't wait.! Good luck mama. You got this

With my first I wasnt dilated at all when I went into labour and it lasted 6 hours. When I had my 3rd I was 5cm dilated before labour started and it was still 6 hours. I dont think it makes alot of difference.

I would have loved my 2nd to be quicker and I thought it would be.
5.5 hours for my first and 5 days for my second after being induced, waters broke and the an emergency CS.
Good luck for your 2nd and I hope she lets you wait until next month 🥰
