Hi everyone
I’m 38 and starting to wonder if I’m perimenopausal. I have a 3-year-old daughter, had a miscarriage last year, and we’ve been trying for another baby ever since with no luck.
This month my period hasn’t arrived, but I’m not pregnant. Over the last few months my periods have become much lighter and only last around 3 days. I’ve also been dealing with exhaustion, anxiety, brain fog, and more recently heart palpitation’s and night sweats, and just feeling completely unlike myself. I kept putting it down to a being a full time working mum with a very stressful job and chasing after a wild toddler, but now I’m starting to question if it’s something more.
The thought that this could be perimenopause has completely floored me. I feel devastated and scared that I might not get the chance to have another child. After losing a pregnancy already, it feels like another layer of grief and I honestly feel robbed.
I’m feeling really low and don’t know where to start. Has anyone experienced anything similar in their late 30s? Were there any options or things that helped? Did you see anyone or have any treatments.
I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who’s been through this. I’m feeling quite lost and could do with some hope 😞

Go to your GP Hun and ask for a blood test and hopefully with a blood test they can confirm if you are pre-menopausal it may be something else. You really don’t know. I’ll be listening to go to the Doctors and my opinion is go to the doctors ask for blood test explain everything to the doctor and then go from there it’s not worrying that your pre-menopause. I think you’re a little bit young for that but go to the Duches that is the best thing and get it checked down. Best wishes Kim X.
