It needs to be on a closed wound

Both times I was told when it is a scar, not a wound. So 6 weeks healing. Too soon and it just collects moisture and bacteria riskjng infection.

I had a mummy MOT at 7 weeks and I still have scabby bits but it’s all closed and she told me not until it’s entirely unscabbed and you’re left with just the scar itself. 1 week pp is way too soon you’ll end up with an infection x

I would wait till your next check up see what they say and if they think it looks all good then go for it but I think as you say generally by 6 weeks everything should be closed with no risk of infection or reopening. X
