Non walker

So my little girl still isn’t walking, she’s 2 next month. So far she stands for short periods, walks 2-3 steps then goes down. She knee walks and bear crawls. We were referred to the paediatrician by the GP on Wednesday. After he noticed something on her left side, he didn’t elaborate. Can anyone tell me if they’ve had a similar experience? I asked chat gpt and she’s sent me down a rabbit hole.

If possible for you I would try to find a kids physiotherapist. I’ve got feeling that GP here won’t help much as for me they dont know what to do. My friend had a child that had a problem same as your Daughter. She started to walk after she turn 2 yrs old but with a help of physio (private), GP didn’t do much

I wouldn't let her knee walk too much. As they aren't building enough strength in their lower limbs. It can also cause damage if they do it for too long.
My friends kid knee walked and it took her ages to be able to walk properly. They just had to keep getting her to stand, to do things that involved standing on her feet and using the lower limbs so she can build the strength otherwise can cause issues down the line. I understand its hard to stop them from doing it but also as someone suggested maybe a child physio would be good too.

My daughter isn't walking yet and we've been seeing a private physiotherapist since last year which has helped so much with her movement.
We are now also under the care of nhs pediatrician and physiotherapist who are planning on running some tests.
Feel free to message me if you want to chat 😊
