I know it’s not really a big deal and it’s just my emotions but my anxiety is through the roof and I haven’t heard from my ob yet. My results show I have GD. Will this harm my baby? What can I do to best manage it?

I could be wrong but I read somewhere that 2/4 is passing. So you might be okay!?
But even if you do have it, it's manageable!! You'll have a lot to learn and you'll make some big changes probably but the baby will fine. I'm like minutes away from birth lol and got diagnosed at the same time you did. It's so overwhelming but I promise you'll get through. This group has been so helpful for me!

It’s a lot to take in! The biggest risk to your baby is that they grow bigger than expected which can cause complications during labor, but when caught and treated early, it is much more manageable!
After I got my GD diagnosis I had a meeting with a diabetic educator which was very helpful. The first step is usually to try to control your blood sugar numbers via diet. That is what we spent the most time discussing. Many people can control their GD with diet, but if you can’t then the next step is medication, either insulin or metformin. Please remember that GD is mostly influenced by your hormones and placenta, so sometimes the blood sugar numbers will not cooperate but it’s not your fault!
