Elective C Sections

Anyone else due in August planning an elective csection? I just had an appointment with the csection specialist to make sure I was making an informed decison. While she said I won't get a date booked in until around week 36/37, she said its likely it will be the 18th, 19th or 20th August. I'm due the 21st! That shocked me a bit as I assumed it wouls be the week before (10th to 14th). Worries about going into labour naturally before then 😬 Anyone else in similar boat? Or do your hospitals do them earlier? She said they follow the WHO guidance and won't take babies out before rhe 39th week.

I’m due the 2nd and being pushed into an elective.
I found out last week that whilst they do them in the 39th week, ours only do them on a Monday and Thursday 😂
So I can either have the 27th or the 30th.
I’d love to have a natural labour and have been fighting for it but they’re literally scaring me into something I do not want and tomorrow I have to make my decision 🙄

I was told they book a date in on the 38th week but I’m pushing for it to be sorted sooner since they want me to have the bloody thing and my husband needs to book time off work as paternity pay is peanuts, and he’s taking it as holiday.

I was told today i am having an elected c section im due the 22nd august, dreading it tbh. Gutted my birth plan ain't gone the way i wanted it too.
I am worried, got so much to finish off getting and not as much time as i thought .. Xx

I didnt know you could ask? Its my first pregnancy and im due the 5th and I want an elective but was told I cant discuss it till my 36 week midwife appointment.

Hi I’m having an elective c section this round after needing an emergency one with my first. (Was induced and then never progressed past 8cm)
I had the option to try for a VBAC but I didn’t want to risk the same thing happening again and I’ve heard a planned one is much more calm 🤷‍♀️🤞🏻

I’m due the 14th and was told it will be scheduled anywhere from the 7th-14th so really close. I’m hoping I don’t go any earlier because we are so unorganised 😅 xx

Would you sleep seperate from your spouse

Maybe it’s the universe telling me something but I’ve seen a trend of people sleeping separate than their husbands, even as far as separate rooms. I don’t want that much per se but I’d love to sleep in separate beds… wondering if I’m just weird for that/struggling too much in my relationship lol

Well everyone my baby boy is here at 27+1 weighing 2lb 7oz. Waters broke last week and I developed sepsis so they got him out very quickly.

Does the cervix soften and harden?

I’m 17 weeks 4 days pregnant, and it feels like my cervix is soft and the opening feels more open than usual. I am too scared to even see if my finger tip would go in but it feels like it could. I do get mild pressure on my lower abdomen/ pelvis area but it’s off and on and I think it’s just baby. 2nd pregnancy, and I feel lots of kicks and movements. My next appointment is on July 1st with my midwife fyi

Mucus plugy discharge!

Hi guys has anyone been having some mucus plug discharge from 30/31 week it’s only little bits but Iv been noticing it more and more over the past 2 days. X
