What I don’t want to hear …

Am I being sensitive ? A friend of mine keeps saying “you will get pregnant again soon“ any time I share that I’m feeling down about my miscarriage or not having a great day,it feels so dismissive I want so badly to say to her she has no idea !!

Its so annoying like yes I can get pregnant again, please tell me your words of wisdom if I have another miscarriage?

You should honestly. Just tell her it would make it a lot easier if you did know the outcome but you don’t and neither does she and that’s at least half of what makes it hard so her saying not to worry as if it’s not is really dismissing the struggle. After my first miscarriage I was willing to believe it was just bad luck and I would get pregnant again and all would be well and for most people it is but you really don’t know. Personally I now appear to be approaching my 5th consecutive miscarriage so feel free to use me as an example of why she shouldn’t say things like that

Fresh Pakistani mangoes and soft whipped ice cream made out of them mangoes

10/10 best ice cream and mangoes I’ve ever tasted from Mario’s on Ilkeston Road. This box cost £5 and it’s the best thing I have ever put in my mouth 🤤

Would you let your six year old go to a pool party?

My daughter’s swim class offers pool parties with a lifeguard included and parents are (of course) going to be required to stay. With all that said, would you let your child attend or do you think a pool party is more for older children?

Thanks!!!

Has anyone else been diagnosed with a low-lying placenta at their 20-week scan? 🤍

As a first-time mum, I’m finding the uncertainty a bit overwhelming. I’m not sure whether to prepare for a vaginal birth or a C-section, when to start maternity leave, or even what recovery items I should be buying.

For those who’ve been through this, did you have to wait until your 32-week scan to find out whether your placenta had moved? Or did you have any signs before then?

I’d love to hear your experiences. How did you cope with the waiting and plan for everything when so much was still uncertain? Any advice would be really appreciated. 💕

Obsessing a bit over milestones/ rolling?

I’m a FTM to a baby who will be 5 months next week, he’s rolled from front to back a couple of times one day about a week ago but hasn’t managed to do it again and not rolling from back to front yet or holding his feet. I know every baby goes at their own pace and sometimes social media is the worst as you see videos that make you overthink but was wondering if anyone else is worrying about the same/ whether this is really common at his stage?

Mucus plug at 36 weeks

Mucus plug has been coming out in bits for around a week now, but no blood in there yet. Just wondered how long it took you if you've had your babies or have had babies before to go into labour after losing the plug? Hoping I can fit in another week or 2 as just gone on maternity and need to wash everything 😂👶🏼
