Hey! Me and my partner are talking about trying for our second baby. I currently have the implant in my arm, has anyone ever had the implant removed to try and how long did it take to conceive? I know everyone’s different but just looking for people’s experiences to try work out when to get it removed. Tia🙂

I remember specifically when being removed(I have been on numerous birth control methods since the age of 14 (28 now) from being irregular alone and incredibly painful menstrual cycles.) and had the nexplanon at least 3-4x. They said last mid October that it could at least take up to 3 months to have a chance of pregnancy. Long story short. I only had 3 weeks and found out I was 3-4 weeks pregnant the day before my birthday (December 5) so not long at all while some others could be a lot longer, it really depends on your hormones doing its thing naturally and how strong and healthy sperm is on your partners side too. We honestly weren’t expecting pregnancy soon either, I just genuinely wanted to have my body be rid of any synthetic hormones as it’s been well over a decade and just was tired of it all and had immense support from my husband.

I had the implant taken out in February and by July we found out I was pregnant!! I had it in for almost the 3 years you can have it in. I gave birth to my son in Feb so conception was probably around May/early June… it didn’t take us long at all but everyone’s different x
