I have a question about induction for those who have had it done. Let’s say I don’t go into labor, (FTM) and I need to schedule an induction, do some women just go straight c-section? Has induction worked and not lead to c-section? I know the stats state that there are more complications and a higher chance of c-section with induction so just kind of curious. I obviously don’t know what’s going to happen but I’m preparing for all scenarios. My mom and sister never went into labor and both has c-sections for all their children which I do know genetics plays a part!

I had the full shebang induction process at 37 weeks as my placenta failed, but I had a vaginal birth and it was all fine. I was terrified about going into an emergency c section if the induction failed though, there are so many scare stories!
But if you don't want to do the induction and you would rather just have a calm planned c section then I'm sure you can voice that and have that as your backup instead! What have the midwives advised?
