Laurence for boys name?

What does it make you think of?

My brother is called Laurence (31 yrs old). He rarely ever comes across others with his name but he does often have to correct the spelling (Lawrence). I think it's a lovely name.

My friend has a Laurence age 3, I think it's great. Don't think they've encountered any others, and doesn't have a nickname, but some people do Lau or Lorie?

Love it. He could be Laurie for short x
