What do you all do

What do you all do during the day when it’s just you and baby alone? I have a toddler who goes nursery so I’m struggling to think of what to do with baby girl. Any ideas?

Would you let your baby stay with their in-laws if they had no reliable way to be contacted?

My in-laws have kindly offered to provide childcare for our baby when I return to work next year, however they are very old fashioned and I have concerns over safety.

They don’t have mobile phones, they don’t have a car or drive, they do have a landline phone but it’s quite old and unreliable. For example when we need to contact them we often have to email them and wait until the end of the day when they check their inbox to get a reply, sometimes this takes days.

My husband agrees it’s not ideal, but when it has been raised as a concern it’s met with ‘it’s worked for us so far’. I think they are very intimidated/scared of technology. We have been trying to coach them to use a mobile but they seem overwhelmed by it.

My concern is that on the days they have our child they won’t be able to contact us and/or take them somewhere if needed. Would you let your child stay as it currently stands?

Cheating husband

I think my husbands cheating on me, how do I catch him out? He used to want sex all the time hasn’t asked for it in weeks, maybe once or twice. He comes home showers eats and goes upstairs while I’m downstairs. Maybe he’s on his phone talking to someone, I can see big changes in his behaviour. What do I do to catch him out as I can’t straight up ask him without evidence but have a gut feeling as he’s done this before.

Having a 2nd child while 1st one has medical issues/delays.

Hey all. I have a 10 month old. I always wanted 2 kids and I’m trying to decide if we should start trying again soon. But my son has epilepsy and some pretty serious developmental delays coming up. He still can’t sit. Isn’t crawling. He may never walk, (or it could take 3-5 years). He will mostly be nonverbal. Chance he won’t be able to bathe himself, feed himself etc.

So does anyone else have children with high needs? Is it totally stupid to have another? Would I be putting us all in a worse position? Will the regret of not having another eat me alive? Would the mom guilt of having another eat me alive?

I am his full time caregiver now so I’m home full time. It was a totally random and insanely rare diagnosis (.0001%) so my 2nd child wouldn’t have it.

It feels like an impossible decision and I’m not even sure what needs to be considered in order to have another. I just don’t wanna wait too long cause im already 32 and it took us 5 years to conceive my son.

Any help appreciated.

Regretting nursery

My toddler is nearly two in sept and I have just put him in nursery he hasn’t started fully yet we’re still settling in it’s been three weeks and he cry’s in and off whilst there for a hour.

I’ve been thinking to pull him out until he’s a bit older 2.5/3 yrs as I feel bad for one and two I think he’s ok to be around home for a bit more as I’m not working and just had another four month old

Baby is calmer with my husband 😩

My 6 week old baby is calmer with my husband and I’m not ok 😩. She’s always crying and super fussy with me unless she’s eating or going to sleep, but my husband calms her down super fast when she’s fussy and she’s just overall calmer with him. Am I doing something wrong? It’s making me super sad ☹️

Are any fellow February 2026 moms about ready to introduce purées to their babies and store bought or DIY

My 5 month old is showing all the signs of solid readiness. Her big brother’s pediatrician gave us the go ahead for purées at his 4 month appt. A day or two later we gave him his first puree and he did well and we slowly added it to his daily routine (still getting as many bottles at first). We moved and are in the process of getting a new pediatrician so she’s late for her 4 month check up but my hubby says “let’s go ahead and start”. I ofc have qualms even though she can almost fully sit on her own. She reaches for our food. Grabs toys and puts them in her mouth and makes sucking noises. I think she’s ready but should I wait until I get her a new pediatrician just in case? Have any of you started? I made all my purées from scratch and don’t really trust any brand except little spoon. But I haven’t even tried little spoon. Just seen it used when I worked in childcare and liked the organic ingredients.”
