24 days since my elective c section, when can I shave my legs? Can I sit in like a cm of water and do it ?

You can shave within your first 30 days. There's also hair trimmers you could use and hair removers instead of shaving. 1 cm of water is fine.

I would ask a partner to help shave if that makes you feel more comfortable

I did not realise there was a rule on this? I shaved my legs within the first week in the shower. I personally didnt have any issues. I just made sure i used a new razor due to increased risk of infection - even though it was just my legs i just took extra precautions having a surgical wound. Any worries just ask your midwife / health visitor im sure they would be happy to give specific advice! 😊

If you have dissolvable stitches you shouldn’t sit in any water. Showering is fine unless your midwife / doctor says otherwise

You can shave your legs right away if physically able to do so. You shouldn’t submerge your incision until fully healed. However you could sit on the edge of the bath and shave your legs that way or put your leg on the edge of the bath whilst showering. A bath isn’t necessary to shave.
