Question about bd and birthday
My daughter is turning 4 in a few weeks and her dad hasn't been very consistent this past 2 months. I got laid off from my job and before that he was taking her every Saturday so I could work. They got to bond every week and she loved it. But now I don't have the need for childcare so I left it in his court to ask to take her when he wanted.
He hasn't spent any time with her at all. I don't know if he's going to remember her birthday. Should I remind him or ask him to spend time with her or should I just wait for him to ask?

Sometimes you have to sit back and see what they will do I did that and mines doesn’t even call on any of their birthdays at all anymore and now my girls don’t even ask for him anymore but it’s honestly up to you you can reach out to get his response but he should be hitting you up and making arrangements to spend time with his daughter. God bless honey im on my 4th child and there dad stop showing up completely for them but there happy now we’re not missing out on anything.
Gosh! This sounds exactly like my BD a part time dad. Why should you have to remind him of his daughter's birthday he should know if he does not want any part of it leave it, sorry but it's not our job to remind them about their child girl don't stress about him and do what you need to do for your little girl and give her the best memories x
If it’s important to you that she have a relationship with her father than you should remind him/ ask him what his plans are. It’s not really. I know it’s tempting to want to test him but I think it’s more about your daughter and the relationship they have than the desire to be petty about things/ want to prove a point. It’s not fair but he should know what the expectation is .
