It’s quite normal. Every pregnancy is different and every cervix is different. There are studies that reveal 6 raw dates per day help to soften the cervix and a soft cervix means quicker labor.

Yes. You are not in labor and still have at least 4wks until your due date. That would be its reasoning to open. Do some dilate prior to labor? Yes, however you are less likely to dilate this early with it being your first. If anything youre more likely to go overdue.

Yes. You can stay close until you enter active labor. This can happen between 37 weeks and 42 weeks

Yes! I'm in the same boat but with an 8lb baby 🫠 for at least two more weeks, I hope, lol.

Don't stress mama sounds like your body is doing what it needs!

Yep. I'm 36 weeks with a 6 lb 7 oz baby and cervix is still at 0.

Sounds normal

Very normal honestly, especially for FTMs. I had to get induced at 40 weeks and a day because my daughter didn't feel like coming out and my cervix was only very slightly open, if at all.

Partners …

Hey! Whose partner gets up with the kids in the morning? I can’t remember the last time mine did. It’s just become the norm that I get up everyday at 6:30am with both children & my partner swans down at about 8:30am (self employed)
Is this the reality for many others or am I being taken for a push over?
I also do bedtime every night & he barely makes it up the stairs to say goodnight. Is this normal?

When you were a teenager, on the weekend you went to bed at midnight, what time did you wake up on Saturday?

My husband doesn’t believe me when I said that as a teenager on the weekend I slept in till noon and he said that’s not normal.

My cat fell off the balcony 3 years ago form the 18th floor…. He survived with zero injuries how is this even possible ?

I think about it everyday YES the 18th floor I thought I’d find him dead but he was there with his tail up happy waiting for me… apparently the way they are built it’s normal for them to not break bones something due to terminal velocity … it’s just soo funny because he’s okay and fully healthy 3 years later

Holidays with toddler

Do you let your toddler stay awake past bedtime and forget their routine to enjoy your holiday or do you stick to usual routine and put them to bed earlier and suck it up? (Preferable for mums of toddlers before 2)

Just found out I’m pregnant with baby #2!

Hi, I’m new here. I have a 9mo old baby girl and just found out I’m pregnant with my second! 🤭 Looks like I’m joining the 2 under 2 club! Would love any advice for breastfeeding while pregnant, being pregnant with a toddler, or what gear I should plan on buying once baby arrives. (Do I need a second crib? Will we need another bedroom? Should I get a tandem stroller? etc.)
