How did your water break going into labor and what was it like? I’m curious to know and also terrified that my water would break and I wouldn’t notice 🥲

I rolled over in bed and there was a massive gush that just continued to leak. No way you could miss it in my case 😂

my waters didn’t break until i was like 10cm, i pushed and my water broke and then i pushed and his head was out 🤣it was just a big gush

It wasn't a gush for me, more a leak. Felt like I was wetting myself, but it was never-ending!

It's actually not that common for waters to break at the start of labour, most of the time contractions are well established and you know you're in labour before they go!

Mine never broke, but was definitely having contractions. Ended off getting it broke at the hospital and it was a gush of water.

I didnt realise 😅 I sat up in the morning and felt a tiny dribble but I was 41 weeks and really needed the loo so thought I just wet myself a little. I mentioned it to my midwife when she came over to do a sweep a few hours later think it was funny and she did a swab that came back positive for amniotic fluid 🙈 was likely just a tiny tear in the waters but yeah I had no idea was so surprised when she said it was positive lol

I was already in labor when mine broke. I had been having contractions for about 12 hours, my doula was at my home and had me in the side-lying release position on my couch, then a “pop” and a huge gush of water. There was meconium in my fluid so at that point we rushed to the hospital. I still had about 20 more hours of labor to go 😭

My waters broke at 5AM at the same time that contractions started. I wasn't sure it was my waters at first because it was just a little bit but I lied down for 30 minutes and when I stood up it just all gushed out 😭 I was lucky with a short but very intense labour of 5 hours, but my contractions were a minute apart once we got to hospital.

Mine was a very small trickle for around three days.. Went to my community midwife as and mentioned I had been a little more damp than normal and she tested it and it was amniotic fluid. Later that night they really went with litres of fluid you could not miss it! Once my waters went I instantly went into contractions

My back waters broke and it felt like I might’ve weed myself but I went to the toilet and had a wee, stood back up and more came and kept slowly leaking (on and off) until baby was out. Contractions didn’t start for about 12 hours x

Sat on the sofa and felt a pop in my stomach😂 stood up and it just started trickling out of me. It never gushed out
