Someone really close to you asks you to look at a preliminary medical report. At first you both just think it’s the medical history saying what had happened in the past. You tell her this and eveyone feels better.
Then you look again and see the encounter date is the date she had an updated CT scan. So now you are 90% sure the report is talking about new findings. Do you tell the other person this or keep it to yourself? Obviously you are not a doctor and have no medical training. But you can read. Other person doesn’t go to see doctor for another week.

I would tell them, but also let them know you're only a certain amount sure and that they should reach out to see if they can get an appointment sooner or follow up with their doctor who would know more

I’d tell them in the form of a question more than I’d like factually state anything.

I’ve been trying to hint that she shouldn’t go to this appointment alone. But she says it’s nothing and will be fine
