She’s almost two and enough is enough, we have reduced it to just naps and sleep. I remove it as soon as she falls asleep so it’s gone when she wakes up. I’ve also told her about the dummy fairy who takes it in the night and gives it to the babies which she understands. Tomorrow I want to do the first nap without it cold turkey I’m terrified any tips? How long will it take.

It took about 4 days for my little boy to not be bothered anymore. I wouldn't start with naptime, I'd start with bedtime when they've got more sleep hormones. It was tough we just took it away, no dummy fairy, no goodbyes, just said no dummy at bedtime and had lots of cuddles instead. One thing that did help. We completely emptied his cot of soft toys and laid them out in a row on the floor of his room and when we said no dummy we let him choose which toys to take to bed with him.
