GD growth scans vs real birth weight

I’ve got 9 days left now until I meet my baby girl via c-section!
And yesterday I had my last scan and she was measuring 7lbs exactly- initially they said she’d be 7lbs 7oz at birth but now it’s looking closer to 8lbs.

Anyway! Who’s had GD before and what were their predictions vs baby’s true birth weight?

I’m really curious 😊

I know the scans aren’t accurate which is why I’m intrigued to know others experiences haha.
I didn’t have a scan to predict weight with my last daughter but the midwife said she felt small-average and then came out at 9lbs 4oz 😝

I don’t have history of GD but with my son in my last pregnancy I had a growth scan days before he was born showing him as 5 pounds something. He was born 8 pounds 4! I was also told my bump was “too small”. Still had a massive baby in there

With my first born (almost 17 years ago so the tech is probably better now 😅) I was having very frequent scans due to low fluid. I had him early at 37 weeks because of it and they measured him to be 4lb - he came out at 5lb 9 so it was way off.
With my 4 year old, they predicted she would be 6lb13 at birth and she was 6lb2 so take it with a pinch of salt xx

Update

So much for September! I live in Buffalo NY and guess who showed up at 11:48pm on national 716 Day lol! Welcome Princess Alexandria Myelle 🥹🩷 our little 1 pd 17 oz 29 weeker! She’s doing so good in NICU. They took the one breathing tube out and gave her an cpap and she’s doing amazing! They are also removing an iv line because she doesn’t need it. In a few days they will do a Pic Line that will help her get nutrients to her heart and I can actually hold her. She also is starting feeding tonight through a line as well. Overall they love her over there and say shes doing amazing and thriving. No worries at all about her ❤️

What is a name you want to name your child but won't for some reason?

For me it's Saoirse if I were to ever have a girl. I find the name so beautiful, but I know that people where I live would seriously struggle to pronounce it right. 😅

3rd C-section

I would love some encouragement. My husband and I are expecting our 3rd child this Fall and I will be having a 3rd c-section.
My first c-section was unplanned and urgent (baby’s heart rate dropped during labor). My second c-section was planned, but became an emergency because baby’s heart rate dropped while they were still checking me in for the surgery.
Let’s just say, I’m traumatized by previous experiences.

Scary Night

I went incognito because someone may figure out where I live, sorry a little paranoid. I think I am overtired, overwhelmed and overworked with looking after my daughter solo while my husband was away, not his fault, well I sat on my bed and i saw a shadow pass by the bedroom door, I had the light on downstairs in the lounge to help me see too the kitchen, the lounge is at the back of house, the kitchen to the front, I swear I saw the shadow twice, I am scared of the dark and being alone, so I put down to tiredness and tried not to think about it even though I was freaked out, well early morning I was making her a bottle and I swore I could hear her crying, she was not, this happened again twice more in the morning. Here the freaky thing I live on the site of an old maternity hospital, part of the original building is next to my new build house, I put down to post pregnancy symptoms but I hope for all our sakes it's just that or I will be getting someone in. Wish me luck I got Saturday night solo, and I am scared shitless.

CERN Babies

I went down a rabbit hole and found out women who haven’t been able to get pregnant for years were able to conceive after cern shutdown. Including me. I’ve been trying for 7 years & this month I tested positive. Unbelievable. I also have 4 friends in different states that have been popping up pregnant. Is this a baby boom? Anyone else have a similar story? Or am I just crazy?
