Looking for some advice. My little one is 5 months old and still sometimes goes cross eyed when focussing on objects (usually when close to the face) or when laughing. Just wondered if anyone else is having the same experience? A lot of the guidance I’ve seen generally states the eye muscles develop properly between 4-6 months and at this point the frequency of going cross eyed should decrease. In general her eye alignment is fine so wasn’t sure when/if to seek medical advice or whether i’m being overly dramatic as a FTM!!!

I think it’s normal, I mean most adults do that too if something is right in their face

My LO is exactly the same age and does it every so often. I think it's normal, I was worried about it as well! It's not nearly as much as it used to be and I think it's when he focuses on things close up. It's paired with a hilarious concentration face as well 😆

Ours does too

Mine does it too, its one eye and it goes fully in when he looks a certain angle. We have a eye hospital appt in about 3 weeks time. Better to have baby seen by an ophthalmologist and let them tell you if it's OK or not.
