I’d love to hear positive stories from you ladies who’ve had your babies by now! We’ve been in this together for so long, I think some of us are starting to get restless waiting for our turns. Lately all I’ve heard is scary stories and things going off the rails during labor and birth, I think we need to bring some light back into these last couple weeks!

My story has some scare to it but it all turned out great in the end so hopefully this helps.
I went in to a different hospital for my bp being high because my hospital was over booked. I didn’t expect to stay or anything, just wanted to hear that everything was good and go home. Little did I know I was going to meet my baby boy the next day. I ended up staying for pre e and gh. They attempted to induce me but baby boy was ready as he could ever be. The iv team who attempted my iv actually broke my water 😭. It was really funny and he kept apologizing but it was good because that really got the ball rolling. 5 hours later my perfect baby boy arrived at 6 pounds 9 oz. Went in for a check came out with a baby! Yes, labor can be intense, scary, and even dangerous but guess what, you got this mama. Keep looking at that light at the end of the tunnel! Shake off the scary thoughts and look forward to meeting that beautiful baby boy/girl of yours! YOU GOT THIS❤️💕

I agree we need positive stories and I feel i have one. Due date was Wednesday the 15th and I told doctor if baby didnt come by then I would like to be on list for induction mainly for planning purposes for our older son. Got the call Wed night to be there Thursday at 830a. Got to the hospital, felt pretty good. Was expecting to not be dilated because I wasn't with my first. I was 1cm but pretty thinned out the nurse said. They gave me the cervical ripener orally, bc that's just how the hospital does it I guess. With my first it took 2 rounds of the pill vaginally. I really didnt want a ton of checks and wanted to be able to move around as long as possible. I got checked around 1p and I was still only 3cm so we discussed starting Pitocine. Started low but worked up to a dose of 10 and was contracting pretty frequently but they were not bad at all bc my water was intact. So we discussed breaking my water around 3p and I told them I had to think about it. Well just as I was about to decide to have it broken
